Enphase completes largest
installation in Australia
Enphase Energy has completed the largest microinverter installation in South Australia. Enphase installed their M215 Microinverters for a 100 kW rooftop PV system at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, which has a seating capacity for 12,000 people. The solar installation will provide a significant portion of the venue’s necessary power.
Exclusive partnership increases prospects Down Under
While Enphase microinverters have powered a number of high-profile public and entertainment venues in Australia and New Zealand, including the Richmond Football Club, the Auckland War Memorial Museum and Hamilton Zoo, a new deal looks set to expand the company’s residential business Down Under.
Engineering site in New Zealand to be Enphase’s biggest office outside California
The California-based company is also expanding its global engineering facility in Christchurch, New Zealand, to support the design, development and testing of its microinverters.
Enphase will integrate its existing office and engineering facilities, increasing its staff in the country. Enphase plans to expand its engineering workforce by 35% by the fourth quarter of 2016 and expects to draw on its relationship with the University of Canterbury in order to recruit employees. “New Zealand is an untapped market for exceptional engineering talent,” said Dunn.
The new facility will be Enphase’s second largest office outside the company’s headquarters in Petaluma, California.
